“KYO-TO-TO” is a brand name that fuses “Kyoto” and “Tokyo” representing both traditional and contemporary centers of Japan. “Departing from Kyoto via Tokyo - to the World”. Their concept as an embroidery brand is to explore new ways of passing on Japanese culture, tradition and the possibility of new embroidery.
Their product series are inspired by Japanese culture, arts, seasonal events and fauna & flora. KYO-TO-TO brand was established in 2007 By DUOMO CO., LTD, an embroidery company based in Kameoka, Kyoto. A city famous for its beautiful nature, heavy morning fog, clean water that creates an ideal climate for growing Kyo-Vegetables.
About the products
KYO-TO-TO is an embroidery factory brand that bases the designs of each series on motifs of Japanese history and culture. Unique embroidery techniques are used depending on the occasion and purpose including flat embroidery, chain stitch, and Sagara embroidery. They offer a wide range of products, from stickers and iron-on patches. Apparel products such as shirts and stoles as well as fabric panels that can also be used as interior decorations. There are hundreds of types of patches: the flagship products of the brand. All the fabrics, dyeing, and sewing are made in Japan.
