The Toki Yuite is a Japanese phrase meaning ‘weaving strands of time’. Consider the way strands woven together are neither bound or tied, they are a delicate connection given new form, but forever open to flexibility and transformation. Toki Yuite equates that concept to the beautiful flexibility of life.
Time, as they mean it here, captures the all-encompassing concept of time, consisting of people, objects and thoughts. They become woven together through beautiful products and precious cultural traditions and techniques preserved as a gift that transcends both time and country.
That is the mission of Toki Yuite.
About the products
Toki Yuite is delivering “Interwoven Gifts of Love” with a focus on diversity. The original meaning of the Japanese kanji character for "weave" means "to weave threads together to create a beautiful and splendid piece of clothing” or “the combination of several small elements to form a superior whole.”
In that spirit, they weave the yarn from its original form to create the gifts they produce.
