About the Exhibitor
The Mindful Collective is a union of Japanese artisans, existing as a space where the deep-rooted traditions and techniques of Japan resonate with the inner voice of the contemporary individual.
Its collections are the tangible embodiment of this philosophy. These meticulously crafted products are not just objects of utility; they serve as mirrors reflecting both the warmth and dedication of the artisan's hand, and the deliberate, conscious choice of the user who incorporates them into daily life.
Through this conscious interaction, the collective aims to draw awareness towards the "continuum between the self and the world," guiding users to explore who they are within the larger contexts of society and the universe—ultimately leading to the discovery of intrinsic richness.
The Collective believes that this entire process—from creation to conscious choice—is The Art of Conscious Existence.
About the Brands
Mino Washi Pen
Features a barrel made with Mino Washi, a traditional Japanese paper from Gifu Prefecture recognised as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Mino Washi, crafted with the clear waters of the Nagara and Itadori rivers, is known for its delicate texture, exceptional strength, and consistent high quality. To ensure daily usability, the paper is meticulously hand-rolled by artisans and sealed with a durable acrylic resin coating.
Bridge and Blend Incense
A modern incense brand that reinterprets Japan’s thousand-year fragrance heritage through a contemporary sensibility. Inspired by the scent culture depicted in The Tale of Genji, the brand creates minimalist and emotive compositions rooted in traditional fragrance philosophies, natural ingredients, Japanese craftsmanship, and sustainable design. A portion of sales also supports environmental conservation efforts. Their fragrance universe aligns closely with the curatorial values sought by concept stores, museum shops, hotels, and wellness spaces worldwide.
TRADITIONAL CRAFTS
Specialises in Iga Kumihimo, a traditional craft from Mie Prefecture that has been passed down since before the Nara period. By braiding silk, gold, and silver threads on various stands (kumidai), they create cords with a unique texture, excellent elasticity, and vibrant colours. The beautiful handiwork of the craftsman and the unique colour combinations are now available as practical, everyday accessories and small items, blending traditional techniques with contemporary flair.
Craft Town handmade products
Express the multifaceted essence of Japan through three concepts—all pronounced "WA" in Japanese—across a range of art and lifestyle goods, from traditional teaware and classic fabric bags to lifestyle goods and modern accessories:
The "WA" of Tradition: Classic Japanese craft.
The "WA" of Modernity: Contemporary Japanese design recognised globally.
The "WA" of Peace: A vision of global harmony and connection (the circle/ring).
