SHINTO TOWEL is the original factory brand of Shinto Towel Co., Ltd., established in 1907 in Izumisano, Osaka, the birthplace of Japanese towel-making. Drawing on over a century of knowledge and technical experience, SHINTO TOWEL combines its original techniques with the traditional Atozarashi method of Senshu towel production, adapting them to contemporary design and functionality to preserve the craft and offer the finest towels.

About the Products
2.5-Ply Gauze Towel: A unique weave that is neither 2- nor 3-ply, the 2.5-Ply Gauze Towel is designed for ultimate comfort. Soft, light, and quick-drying, yet highly absorbent, the towel comes in Medium and Large sizes, as well as a long scarf type and a washcloth. Subtle variations in the warp and weft create a natural depth of colour. Made from 100% organic cotton.
YUKINE: YUKINE is refined through a meticulous Atozarashi process that removes natural impurities, maximising the cotton’s absorbency. For YUKINE, twice the care is taken in this process, which enhances the clean cotton fibres and produces the distinctive “squeaky” sensation. With each wash, the towel becomes progressively softer and gentler on the skin. Designs feature white warps with colored wefts, evoking landscapes of earth, water, or new life peeking out from beneath fallen snow. Made from 100% organic cotton.
Inner Pile Towel: Combining two outer layers of soft gauze with an inner layer of highly absorbent pile, the Inner Pile towel is handwoven with care on traditional shuttle looms. It is perfect for baths, face washing, or even as a pillow cover or blanket. Thick and fluffy yet soft and light, it offers a fresh take on the classic towel. Made from 100% organic cotton.
