About the Exhibitor
Based in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo, tamaki niime reinterprets the traditional Banshu-ori weaving technique through its distinctive use of colour and texture. Living alongside sheep, alpacas, and other animals, the brand handles every step of production in-house—from dyeing and weaving to knitting, sewing, and finishing—pursuing the creation of truly one-of-a-kind fabrics.
About the Products
Each shawl is loosely and slowly woven to capture gentle pockets of air, creating a distinctive softness and comfort unique to tamaki niime. By reinterpreting looms originally designed for mass production, they have discovered a texture found nowhere else. Worn by anyone, regardless of age or gender, simply draping it over the shoulders brings out one's truest self. The shawl is where tamaki niime’s story begins.
